Tell us about your career/education journey. What brought you to work at Procise?
Although my career didn’t begin in IT, I was always drawn to data and systems. I earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and started out in the medical device industry.
When I married my husband, who was serving in the Navy, I moved out of state and needed to restart my career. Leaning into my interest in technology, I transitioned into a role as a software trainer. That experience deepened my passion for data and software systems, eventually leading me to pursue a certification in software development.
I joined Procise Solutions in 2020 as a developer.
What tools or platforms do you use the most?
I work primarily with Microsoft 365 tools, especially Power Apps and Dataverse. I build custom solutions within Teams and SharePoint to meet customers’ unique business needs.
What is your favorite type of project to work on?
I love projects where I can design a relational database tailored to a customer’s unique business needs. Depending on the project, I’ll step in as the Project Manager for full stack development or roll up my sleeves and dive into the hands-on work myself using the Power Apps platform.
What do you enjoy the most about your work?
I love listening to customers and helping them find creative, cost-effective solutions that leverage the best of what Microsoft has to offer to solve real business challenges.
What are your passions or hobbies outside of work?
Outside of work, you’ll often find me biking quiet rural roads with my husband, tending to a yard full of plants and perennials, planning the next trip to visit our daughter and son who live out of state, or cooking a healthy meal for our high schooler at home.
What is your favorite animal?
My favorite animal is a golden retriever.
